Team FCSS,
I’ve been spending some time lately reflecting on the work happening across our organization, and I just want to say thank you. There’s a lot happening in a lot of places, and it all matters. The support you provide to students, schools, and each other does not go unnoticed.

As we move through the year, I want to bring us back to something that helps ground our work, our Strategic Plan. I know it’s probably not your go-to reading before bed, but it really is an important document. It’s there to help us stay focused, guide our decisions, and make sure we’re putting our time and energy where it will have the greatest impact for students across Fresno County.

In early April, we’ll be rolling out an updated Strategic Plan to recap 2025. It reflects the progress we’ve made, the input we’ve heard, and where we believe we can have the greatest impact moving forward. It brings added clarity to our priorities and helps ensure we’re aligned across the organization as we take on the work ahead.

When it’s released, I encourage you to take a few minutes to look it over and think about how your work connects. Whether you’re supporting students directly or behind the scenes, every role at FCSS plays a part in moving this work forward.

With spring break around the corner, I also want to wish those of you taking time off a chance to rest, recharge, and spend time doing what matters most to you. And for those continuing to support our programs and students during that time, thank you for keeping things moving forward.

I’m proud of this team and the work we’re doing together.
